Research Trainee Opportunity: Mental Health Data
The Role
The University of Basel is offering a research traineeship focusing on mental health in southern Africa. This is a 6-month, full-time role, providing direct experience with data from clinical trials and cohort studies. The role involves data analysis, literature review, manuscript preparation, and academic publishing contributions. It offers flexible working hours, hybrid conditions, and a minimum in-office presence in Basel twice a week. The role is under the Global Mental Health Research Group, which improves mental health behaviors among vulnerable populations.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in social science, health, or data-related field, with a keen interest in mental health research and academic writing. Comfort with quantitative data, clinical and longitudinal studies are essential. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with a desire to explore an academic or research career.
