The Role
The Textilmuseum St.Gallen, founded in 1878, houses one of Switzerland's most significant textile collections. Exhibitions aim to make textile topics accessible to a wide audience, including children, youth, seniors, and designers. The museum offers a strategic and structural reorientation supported by a historical textile library and an attractive shop. We are seeking an Exhibition Curator (60%) starting November 1, 2024.
Requirements
A completed Master's degree in Art History, Cultural Studies, Textile Sciences, or equivalent. Several years of experience in museum work and exhibition curation, particularly in the field of textile art and culture. Excellent knowledge of art and cultural history, especially textile art; experience in research and scientific documentation; creativity and conceptual strength. Strong communication, organization, teamwork skills, and proficiency in German and English.
